WORLD YOUTH DAY is celebrated in the college premises on the occasion of the birthday of Swami Vivekanand. The ceremony started off with the garlanding of Swami Vivekanand's statue followed by a seminar organized on “Today's youth and their capabilities.” A large number of students delivered their talks but only a select few could manage a trophy from the eminent panelists.



New batches were given a Fresher’s Party ,in  this program a fashion ramp walk of  fresher’s were conducted in which the students cat walked and the winners were given the title of Mr. & Miss Fresher. The contestants were put to rigorous    Q & A sessions with the judges covering a variety of topics ranging from fashion, socio-political, technical and other contemporary issues. A cultural event competition was also held comprising of various competitions like singing and dancing. There was an informal introduction of the new students at the end of the program.



A one day industrial trip was organized for the students of MBA 2nd year. Students visited SWARAJ, PARLE G (Neemrana) . On this tour Er. Ranjeet Singh (Founder & Chairman of Shekhawati Group Of Institutions) accompanied the students along with the Students Mentor and Supervisors. Students observed the production and packaging process at Parle-G biscuits. The Assistant HR manager of the plant, Mr. Anurag Srivastav informed the students about the functioning of the various machineries and the highly efficient process of automation. He motivated the students with his lectures which proved to be an effective closure to the memorable day.



The colors which depict different characteristics of our country were spread on the floors beautifully by creating some eye-catching designs. Girls as well as boys took active participation in the competition. Various shapes and figures were drawn including the Map of India, Diyas, Lord Ganesha along with numerous creative designs. A panel of judges comprising of senior faculty members adjudged the top three winners.



To celebrate the birthday of the Honorable 2nd  President of India, a renowned academician & philosopher, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, and thereby honoring the entire teaching fraternity, Teachers' Day function was organized on 5th of September at SGI. On this day  students organized a lot of entertaining events and activities for their teachers. The students expressed their gratitude to the teachers for playing a pivotal role, like a pole star, in enlightening their career track through their unceasing support and guidance.



Vasant Panchami, the first festival after the arrival of New year was welcomed by one and all. According to the Hindu Mythology, it is the birthday of Goddess Saraswati and is commonly known as the Saraswati Puja. Vasant Panchami was celebrated at SGI on 14th of February. A Puja ceremony followed by a ‘bhavya aarti’ was organized in the college temple and prayers were offered to the Goddess for intellect and good fortune. There was Prasad distribution at the end of the function.



Engineer's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at SGI on 15th of September, to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Vishveshvaraiya, the first renowned engineer of India. The entire function was arranged and managed by the senior students of B.Tech. VIIIth semester. The function kicked off with the cutting of the red ribbon by the Principal, Vice-Principal and  Registrar. An open air function followed in the campus of SGI. The event consisted of many entertaining and tech savvy competitions which included Face Painting, Singing, Admania, Roadies, Technical Quiz, etc. Here various sizzling performances were delivered wherein more than hundred students manifested their zeal to excel in diverse fields. Winners were felicitated in the end.



Following the Indian tradition of hospitality, the IT department of SGI welcomed the new entrants of Shekhawati family with a grand Fresher’s Party “IT-TARANG”. The senior students of the IT department played a multidimensional role in the organization of this party. On this day students fervently participated and excellently performed in various songs, dances, skits, catwalks, mimicry, etc.  This was a three day long celebration having different activities on different days such as Rangoli , Painting , IT quiz , Power point presentations, etc. Subsequently a party was hosted for the newcomers by the senior students of SGI. In the workmanship of the Head of the Department, students enthusiastically participated at all levels from organizing the programme to anchoring to maintaining discipline.



A three day long awareness camp for entrepreneurship was organized in SGI campus for teachers as well as senior students. The seminar-cum-workshop was thoroughly conducted in which entrepreneurs of different fields delivered their knowledge and threw light on the emerging Globalization Era and an urgent need For Entrepreneurs. The Branch Manager of Rajasthan Garmin Bank (RGB) delivered the inaugural speech followed by addresses of various business leaders and entrepreneurs. It proved to be a highly learning experience for the students and faculty members.


The Orientation day is for the formal introduction and facilitation of  the new comers to the college, staff members and their course. The function is traditionally starts with a Puja ceremony done by the chairman. Follows by the inaugural ceremony  and introduction of the students with the faculty members. This is completely a motivational event presented by the teachers for new comers and in this the Rules and Regulations as well as the Do's and Don'ts discussion. The coordinators drow the attention of the students towards the achievements and protocols of the organization. The proud history of SGI was reiterals by all the panelists. In the end, the Director wishes the fresher’s a wonderful and bright future.



As we all know that Diwali is one of the most important  festivals and celebrated worldwide. SGI Family also celebrated the festival of Lights on the eve of Diwali vacation on 8th of Nov, Dr.K.K.Vyas (Principal & Director B.Tech Dept.),Dr. Manish shrivastav (Director Mgmt & IT),Er. Abhishek Tripathy (Vice Principal & TPO) & Mr. Prakash Bhakar (Registrar) together addressed the staff members and wished them a very Happy and Prosperous Diwali. Some focused on the life of Lord Rama. The function culminated with a light refreshment and best wishes to all.



On Dec 1st, WORLD AIDS DAY was seminar in the college campus, which was proudly honored by the presence of Dr. S.S Chouhan (PMO, SK Govt. Hospital Sikar), Dr. M Digriwal  (MO SK Govt. Hospital, Sikar) and Mrs. Indra Choudhary (Advocate, Consumer court , Sikar) . A power-point presentation competition on “AIDS and its impact on Indian Economy” was conducted. A number of students from different branches took active participation in this competition and the victory flag taken by top- three rankers.
