B Pharm & D Pharm:

Pharmacy is the life line of medical department, it deals with preparation, compounding, preservation & dispensing of medicine, it is a globalized profession for a pharmacist, pharmacist make career in the field of healthcare system clinically, in the research laboratory, in vigilance study, in pharmaceutical Industry and also open their own manufacturing and retail unit. A pharmacist have wide knowledge about the drugs like their therapeutic uses, adverse effects, drug interactions and their routes. So pharmacist play a vital role in patient compliance. Pharmacist also play major role in patient counseling and motivation for the rational use of medicine and have huge knowledge about the storage condition and life period of the drug molecules at varying level so it decrease the mortality level in community and also have wide knowledge about disease and their change pattern so involve in drug discovery and development. Overall improve life style and quality of patients. In developed & developing countries pharmacy profession play a major role in country economy.

Eligibility: There are two courses available for a person which are choose or interested to make career in pharmacy, course are D.Pharm & B.Pharm. The minimum eligibility for these programme is 10+2 in science stream (Physics, Chemistry Bio & Maths) with minimum 50% marks for B.Pharm & 45% marks for D. Pharma. Both courses are regulated by PCI (Pharmacy Council fo India) & State University (RUHS).
